The heating season is around the corner. We hope you all had a healthy and safe summer.
As per normal procedures we hired a third-party company to service the boilers and burners as a preventive measure to make sure we enter the heating season prepared.
The boiler and heat timer will help BRM in its goal to meet city’s objective to improve the environment by making the building more energy-efficient. We are pleased to contribute towards creating a better environment for the residents of New York City and to provide our tenants with a better means of receiving heat.
The heat timer and sensors are computer-controlled which will help ensure that all residents are receiving sufficient heat. It allows for 24/7 monitoring of the system and sends continuous alerts to management if a failure occurs.
Please review the heating requirements below. If you feel your apartment is still below the required temperature, please contact the Super so that they can perform a manual reading.
- Between the hours of 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM, if the outside temperature falls below 55 degrees, the inside temperature is required to be at least 68 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Between the hours of 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM, the inside temperature is required to be at least 62 degrees Fahrenheit.
